Here’s something to think about on this Thanksgiving Eve: “The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” (Romans 8:11 NLT)
For those who read and/or follow this simple blog, who have put their faith and trust in the God who created them and have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, know that Paul wrote those words above to the church in Rome – but they still are true today.
You can know that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead live in you! That means, my friend, that you are one powerful dude or dudette!
So why do we go through life, day-by-day as if we are defeated and distraught?
Read that verse again.
Allow it to sink in for a moment.
Read it every day, if it will help. Post it on your bathroom mirror, on your fridge, in your car, at your work.
And then, once you actually believe that what Paul wrote is true for you, begin acting that way. No, don’t become arrogant. Don’t become abusive. For with power like this comes great responsibility.
What can you do today to begin living as though you believe this?
